Meet our Coaches

Max Savedra-CF-L2 (CrossFit Level 2 Trainer CrossFit Weightlifting )– Owner 


Max is the owner of CrossFit TOB. Max has been coaching CrossFit for over 6 years, managing gyms in the area. He got his start in CrossFit after playing college football, working as a Physical Therapy Aid. There he realized his love for helping people move well. He has a passion for exceptional movement standards. He has enjoyed the challenge of CrossFit, and is excited to share it with others. The thing he loves most about CrossFit is how all levels of athletes, no matter their experience or prior activity  level can participate. Max also specializes in kids athletic development and weightlifting. Check out our 4th Quarter Athletics program! 

Kait Heiduk-CF-L1 (CrossFit Level 1 Trainer) 

Kait was introduced to CrossFit in 2015 and was hooked right away. She was always into exercising but lost it for a couple of years before she found CrossFit. CrossFit changed her life for the better. Kait received her CF-L1 over the summer of 2017. She is currently working towards getting her degree in Kinesiology with the emphasis of Physical Activity Leadership at CSUB. She hopes to help others understand the importance of being educated about fitness and health. Her passion is becoming a reality by becoming a coach. 

Josh Witcher-CF-L1 (CrossFit Level 1 Trainer) 

Josh has been involved with CrossFit for 4 years. After years of lifting weights at local gyms, he decided to give CrossFit a try. After 1 session, Josh immediately decided CrossFit was his new love of fitness and exercise, and has never looked back. Josh  has experienced playing baseball at the Division 1 level, at The University of Oklahoma. After graduating in 2000, he came back home to begin his teaching and coaching career. Currently, Josh holds the Program Specialist position at Frontier High School, where he also has coached Varsity baseball for 6 years, with a total of 12 years in the KHSD.  Josh wants to share his love and passion for CrossFit by helping others achieve their personal goals. Josh earned his BA in Sociology at The University of Oklahoma and his Teaching Credential and Master’s Degree in Special Education at National University. 

Janae Witcher-CF-L1 (CrossFit Level 1 Trainer)- CrossFit Kids 

Janae has been involved with CrossFit for four years. Prior to starting CrossFit, she competed at the Division 1 level in volleyball at The University of Southern California where she earned All-American Honors in 2001. Janae also earned The National High School Volleyball player of the year in 1997. With an athletic background, Janae has always been active with weight lifting and running. Her love for CrossFit has turned into the desire to help others get fit and lead a healthy lifestyle. Janae currently is a Special Education Teacher at Shafter High School. Janae earned her BA in History Science from U.S.C and her Teaching Credential and Master’s Degree in Special Education from National University.
