Max Savedra-CF-L2 (CrossFit Level 2 Trainer, CrossFit Weightlifting )– Co-Owner 

Max being an athlete all his life playing football, basketball and track and field has always had a love for physical fitness. He has always had a passion for the science behind how people move. He studied kinesiology/ Exercise science at the University of Texas at El Paso while playing football.  For several years he was a physical therapy aid. There he realized his love for helping people move well. For the last 8 years he has been the head coach at CrossFit gyms in town as well as a competitive athlete in the sport. He has a passion for exceptional movement standards. He has enjoyed the challenge of CrossFit, and is excited to share it with others. The thing he loves most about CrossFit is how all levels of athletes, no matter their experience or prior activity  level can participate. Max also specializes in kids athletic development and weightlifting. Check out our 4th Quarter Athletics program! 

Kait Heiduk-CF-L1 (CrossFit Level 1 Trainer) 

Kait was introduced to CrossFit in 2015 and was hooked right away. She was always into exercising but lost it for a couple of years before she found CrossFit. CrossFit changed her life for the better. Kait received her CF-L1 over the summer of 2017. She is currently working towards getting her degree in Kinesiology with the emphasis of Physical Activity Leadership at CSUB. She hopes to help others understand the importance of being educated about fitness and health. Her passion is becoming a reality by becoming a coach. 

Maddie Hubbell -CF-L1 (CrossFit Level 1 Trainer) 

Maddie started CrossFit in the fall of 2016. Prior to that, she played division 1 volleyball at UC Riverside for 4 years.

What brought you to CrossFit? “I have always loved fitness and Olympic weightlifting which lead me to trying CrossFit. Once I began, my coaches had such a positive impact on me that I wanted to do the same. I got my L1 in spring of 2019 and began coaching that summer. I am now a 7th grade English Language Arts Teacher. My passion for fitness and positive relationships are what lead me to become both a teacher and a CrossFit coach.”

Krista Espinoza-CF-L1 (CrossFit Level 1 Trainer)

Krista was introduced to Crossfit in 2016, and fell in love with the community Crossfit has to offer. Krista became an L1 trainer after learning how much she loved to help others reach their fitness goals. She has an athletic background in gymnastics, and loves to spend time at the box.  She currently is a certified body shop estimator and hopes to run/own a shop of her own one day.  Oh, and she LOVES dogs.

Ariane Duncan-CF-L1 (CrossFit Level 1 Trainer)

Ariane played basketball and volleyball through high school, and as an adult played women’s flat track roller derby for 10 years. She is certified in the CrossFit Runners Course as well as the CrossFit Judges Course. Ariane CrossFit in April of 2017, thanks  to her daughter Amber. Her interest started to supplement roller derby skills, and then grew into a passion. She loves learning, and seeing how hard she could push, training with the other athletes, becoming a family. Ariane’s passion is helping people, and wants to see people succeed while having fun. 

John Estrella-CF-L1 (CrossFit Level 1 Trainer)

 

Jessica Laurente-CF-L1 (CrossFit Level 1 Trainer)

Jess was first introduced to CrossFit in 2013 when she was looking for a fun way to stay fit while she was a cheerleader at Fresno State University. In 2015, she was introduced to Nemesis Sports Academy in Clovis, CA where she was asked to be a part of their competitive CrossFit program. While completing her Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology – Exercise Science, the NSA team competed in the Open and placed 16th in Northern California. She moved back to Bakersfield after graduating from Fresno State in 2016 and immediately got her L1 and began coaching at TOB. She went on to compete at Granite Games in 2017 with a couple other women from Bakersfield. She is currently the Health and Fitness Instructor for Kern County Public Health Department and has a passion for loving on people and helping them discover their love for fitness and staying healthy.

And, if you’ve never met her, just look for her 3 big dogs lounging around the gym and she won’t be far from their side.
